Gear: Nikon D3100 c/w kit lens (18-55mm). I wish I can get the higher end professional version but we are on a budget. So, YOU too can still indulge without spending a bomb on expensive equipments.
Accessories: ND 4 grad filter, Circular Polarizer, Canon 52mm wide angle lens converter (for those compact but I use it for fun), tripod, reflector, creativity, kids and friends.
1. "Portrait lens" 50mm f/1.8 AF-S Nikkor
Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S Nikkor Lens (Suitable for ALL Nikon FX and DX Digital SLR Cameras)
2. "All around" lens Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G
I think both Nikon and Canon are good brands but I will always choose Canon as a point and shoot and Nikon for DSLR for now.
I'm here to also challenge those on a budget to produce stunning pro like images, play with what you have, use your advantages as well as your disadvantages.
